How to develop a scheme

No scheme?

Don’t be deterred if you do not already have a formal training programme. Whatever your organisation’s size, if you have one or more chemical engineering graduates, you can develop a training scheme and seek IChemE accreditation.

One size does not fit all

Every organisation will develop a different training scheme, to ensure that the trainees meet your company’s competency requirements by the time they have completed the programme.

Help is at hand

IChemE can help you to document a training scheme for your company through a number of mechanisms:

Document templates and examples

Get in touch with us to receive an example of a training manual and a template document, which you can fill in to build your own training manual.

Graduate training scheme workshop

Come along to an IChemE workshop with other companies, or arrange for us to visit you, to work on putting your graduate training scheme together. Objectives of the day will be to have a list of the clear follow up actions and associated timeline to launch your company training scheme. Full day’s training costs:

In-house workshop: £1,500
Open workshop at an IChemE location: £600 ppn
