ACTS

IChemE accredits a number of in-company graduate training schemes.

Company A-Z

You can access a list of companies who employ chemical engineers, though this list is by no means exhaustive, and you can get plenty of excellent results yourself by searching in your local library (local business directories etc.) your university Careers and Employment Service and the internet.

Accredited Company Training Schemes (ACTS)

Many companies, from small to large, offer training schemes for graduates to make sure they get the broad spectrum of experience needed to make them great professional engineers.

As the professional body representing Chemical, Biochemical and Process engineers IChemE has been invited by many of these companies to accredit their schemes. This means that IChemE has determined that the scheme, if followed correctly, will ensure each graduate becomes a well-rounded and competent professional engineer. It will also help with your application for Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng).
