Kuala Lumpur at night
University of Nottingham

IChemE's Oil & Natural Gas Special Interest Group (SONG) has a new home for Malaysian events in 2012, following a kind offer from the University of Nottingham allowing use of its Kuala Lumpur Teaching Centre. SONG's next Malaysian evening lecture, on mercury removal, takes place there on 28 May.

The talk will be given by Gary Towsley, of Talisman Malaysia, explaining how the company responded to the problems presented by mercury on offshore platforms, and developed safe operating procedures through the design and installation of mercury removal facilities.

SONG's new supporter package is a cost-effective way for organisations to raise their profile amongst chemical engineers in the oil and gas sector in Malaysia, and benefit from association with IChemE.
