Author guidelines

Checklist

Please make sure you have addressed the following when submitting your draft paper:

  • your manuscript has been saved as a Word file
  • your manuscript is no more than 12 pages in length – four figures/tables should be counted as one page
  • you have completed a copyright assignment form or Crown copyright form as appropriate. If you are unable to complete one of these forms please contact Hazards 28 hazards28@icheme.org
  • you have obtained the necessary permission to include material that has been previously published in your paper
  • you have ticked the box on the copyright assignment form if you DO NOT want a pdf of your Power Point presentation to be made available on the conference website
  • you have ticked the box on the copyright assignment form if you DO NOT want a video of your presentation to be made available on the conference website

Paper preparation guidelines

Your paper should be prepared using Microsoft Word. A word template is provided to help with formatting the paper.

Enquiries regarding preparation of papers should be directed to Hazards 28 hazards28@icheme.org

If accepted as a presentation or a poster paper after the refereeing process, your Word document will be used in the preparation of the conference proceedings.

The overall maximum length of each paper is 12 pages.

A) Draft Paper

The deadline for sending draft papers by email to Hazards 28 hazards28@icheme.org is FRIDAY 12 JANUARY 2018. Because of the tight schedule for reviewing papers and announcing the programme, we are unable to offer extensions to this deadline.

At this stage please also send the completed copyright assignment form or, for employees of UK Government only, the completed application to publish a Crown Copyright article.

B) Final Paper

Your final paper incorporating any comments from the referee will be required before FRIDAY 09 MARCH 2018.
