Call for papers

INEC - the International Nuclear Engineering Conference - will bring together leading figures from industry and academia to highlight and discuss the latest developments and challenges facing the field of nuclear engineering.

Abstracts for papers and posters are invited from prospective contributors under the following broad themes:

  • Current reactor technology (including new build, life extension, marine propulsion) 
  • Spent fuel and nuclear material management (including open and closed fuel cycles, re-use for MOx) 
  • End of life challenges (including decommissioning, waste management and disposal) 
  • Future reactor technology (including SMR, molten salt, Th)

Abstracts should be submitted no later than Friday 6 April 2018. Submit your abstract here.

Abstract submission guidelines

Presentations will be available in both oral and poster form and authors are requested to nominate their preference during the submission process. Please ensure that your abstract is submitted online through the submission portal no later than Friday 6 April 2018 and complies with the following criteria:

  • Word count - overall word count, excluding the scientific title, authors and affiliations must not exceed 250 words
  • Abstract title - title case, Arial, font size 12
  • Author information - authors and affiliations are included
  • Abstract - sentence case, Arial font size 10. Note that characters and symbols must be inserted into the document using the INSERT SYMBOL function, not by changing the font, and please do not use document styles
  • Abbreviations - full text on first mention followed by abbreviation of first parenthesis
  • Author profile - Please include your professional biography of no more than 100 words that will be used during introductions at the conference
