APCChE 2012 key dates
Chemical engineers from the Asia Pacific region will meet at the 14th Asia Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering (APCChE 2012) in Singapore between 21-24 February 2012.
IChemE is one of the corresponding member societies on the APCChE international advisory board and will have a strong presence at the event as several senior members deliver key note presentations.
IChemE deputy president Russell Scott, says that the congress will provide an excellent forum to showcase the talents of Australian and New Zealand chemical engineers and to further strengthen relations with representatives of both academia and industry within the broader Asia Pacific community: “I encourage you to consider attending this internationally supported congress and if you are interested in presenting, you have until 15 July this year to submit an abstract.”
The congress will also put the spotlight on Singapore’s strengths and contributions in the chemical engineering industry and will provide an opportunity for practitioners from 13 countries to explore the latest research and findings from leading experts in their field.
The aim of the congress is to foster communication among chemical engineering researchers and practitioners in the Asia Pacific region.

About chemical engineers
Chemical, biochemical and process engineering is the application of science, maths and economics to the process of turning raw materials into everyday products. Professional chemical engineers design, construct and manage process operations all over the world. Pharmaceuticals, food and drink, synthetic fibres and clean drinking water are just some of the products where chemical engineering plays a central role.
About IChemE
