Brown to lead reputation masterclass
IChemE ceo David Brown will host an hour-long webinar later this month to discuss reputation management in the process industries.
Guarding the reputation of the process industries takes place twice on 17 May, at 08:30 and 15:30 BST. Brown consulted extensively on risk, reputation and corporate responsibility for process industry clients prior to joining IChemE.
The hour-long webinars will be followed by Q+A sessions, as Brown explains to participants how to implement risk management strategies and how to measure the benefits of reputation management.
Brown says: “The process industries have a good story to tell. They play a vital role in wealth creation as well as contributing to a more sustainable society. But failing to properly manage difficult situations, incidents or news can cause a company to find itself in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons and can be enormously damaging.”
The webinar costs £14.99 to attend (IChemE members pay just £9.99) and will be of particular interest to those involved in site management, external relations, human resources and recruitment, as well as safety professionals and regulators.

About chemical engineers
Chemical, biochemical and process engineering is the application of science, maths and economics to the process of turning raw materials into everyday products. Professional chemical engineers design, construct and manage process operations all over the world. Pharmaceuticals, food and drink, synthetic fibres and clean drinking water are just some of the products where chemical engineering plays a central role.
