Does it pay to be a chemical engineer?
IChemE is now gathering data for its 2011 salary survey.
The survey is open for approximately one month and only open to IChemE members. All IChemE members should have already received the link to the online survey. If you are an IChemE member and have not yet received the link, contact IChemE communications manager Matt Stalker.
The survey data is used to update the IChemE salary calculator – a free tool for IChemE members which allows users to benchmark salaries and classify earnings by age, membership grade, sector and/or job level. IChemE members can access the 2010 salary calculator here.

- About chemical engineers
Chemical, biochemical and process engineering is the application of science, maths and economics to the process of turning raw materials into everyday products. Professional chemical engineers design, construct and manage process operations all over the world. Pharmaceuticals, food and drink, synthetic fibres and clean drinking water are just some of the products where chemical engineering plays a central role.
