Malaysia hosts process safety course
More than 30 delegates took part in IChemE's fundamentals of process safety course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last month.
The sold-out course, held at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa was attended by delegates from Malaysia, Singapore, India, Qatar and Egypt. The intensive four-day programme helped delegatesto improve knowledge of managing process safety, hazards and risk, and was designed to ensure that process safety principles permeate throughout businesses.
Delegates praised the structure of course and the opportunities for networking with other chemical engineers and safety experts, as well as the depth and clarity of the content and the frequent group discussions, which allowed them to share knowledge and experiences.
Firdaus Rahim from Esso Malaysia, said: “This training provides an excellent overview from a global perspective of process safety management.”
