Hazards AP builds upon the success of the established Hazards symposium series, which was first staged in the UK in 1960. Hazards is widely regarded as a highlight of the European process safety calendar and IChemE‘s Malaysian Board chair Johan Alimin Samad says that Hazards AP looks set to follow suit: “Hazards AP will bring a wealth of process safety expertise to a new audience. The conference will be of relevance to all those working in a process safety role, as well as regulators and insurers and anyone with an interest in securing and maintaining high process safety standards in the Asia Pacific region.”

The conference, which will provides a forum for experts and safety professionals to discuss the latest developments in chemical process safety, runs over three days from 27–29 September 2011 at the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. PETRONAS Chemicals have confirmed their role as lead sponsor and conference partner.

Many operating companies in the region have submitted papers for presentation including Shell, Pertamina, Titan Petrochemicals, ConocoPhillips, Dupont and the Singapore Refining Company. The conference will also feature an exhibition of safety products and services from leading suppliers.
