Manchester set for IChemE Awards
The IChemE 2012 Innovation and Excellence Awards Dinner will take place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, UK on Thursday 1 November.
The Awards return to Manchester for the second time in three years following a sell-out event in 2010. The Awards, which cover every aspect of chemical and process engineering, will be open for entries in March.
Last year’s event saw Huntsman Pigments clinch the top prize of the evening, the Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering Award (sponsored by BP) in recognition of its revamped facility in Calais, France, turning a site threatened with closure into a thriving new revenue stream.
Widely recognised as the most respected awards in the chemical and process industries, sponsorship and table sale enquiries should be sent to Nigel Stephens.

About chemical engineers
Chemical, biochemical and process engineering is the application of science, maths and economics to the process of turning raw materials into everyday products. Professional chemical engineers design, construct and manage process operations all over the world. Pharmaceuticals, food and drink, synthetic fibres and clean drinking water are just some of the products where chemical engineering plays a central role.
