Registered Science Technician (RSciTech)

Registered Science Technicians work in technical roles, delivering essential scientific services and support within laboratories, schools and universities, and many other workplaces.

IChemE Technician Members with RSciTech benefit from:

  • peer-reviewed proof of their scientific and technical competence
  • independent validation of their expertise via RSciTech registration with Science Council
  • enhanced status in the workplace
  • a platform to work towards Registered Scientist (RSci) status

Requirements

RSciTech TIChemE could be the right professional title for you, if:

  • you use your skills and experience to recognise problems and apply solutions under minimal supervision
  • you take your professional responsibilities seriously
  • you work in a process engineering support role such as laboratory or research technician
