IChemE appoints new Press & PR Officer


Joyce Yip has joined the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the role of Press and Public Relations Officer. Since graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2002, she has worked for Boots plc, British American Tobacco and with Ogilvy and Mather in Ghana. She has recently joined the institution from Domoney Ltd, a media company run by the television personality, David Domoney.

Joyce said, “I am looking forward to working within an organisation that sets the benchmarks for the chemical engineering profession and seeks to expand its influence in the science and technology community. IChemE is aiming to increase its impact and global reach and the forthcoming 50th Anniversary of the Institutions' Royal Charter presents an exciting opportunity to communicate the positive contribution made by chemical engineers around the world."

Dr Trevor Evans, Chief Executive of IChemE, said, ”We are delighted to have Joyce on board at the IChemE. She will be central to communicating and gaining enhanced media coverage for our activities in public policy development.”
