Under the Queensland ‘Professional Engineers Act 2002’ it is a requirement for engineers practicing in Queensland, Australia to be registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (BPEQ). To assist members with this requirement, IChemE is an assessing entity for Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) registration.

All applicants approved as an Registered Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ) will be subject to a random audit of their professional development activities once every three years. Audited registrants are required to demonstrate a minimum average of 150 hours over a three year continuous period to maintain their registration.

Registrants on career breaks or unemployed may defer revalidation.
