Accrediting qualifications
The Institution continued to support universities and training providers by accrediting educational programmes and fostering good practice.
12 virtual university accreditation visits took place internationally and 18 desktop reviews were completed to evaluate programme changes
12 virtual university accreditation visits took place internationally. As well as the UK, IChemE also carried out accreditation visits to universities in Ireland, West Indies, New Zealand, Australia, France, Malaysia and China.
In order to review laboratories and facilities at the universities, eight in-person follow-up visits took place plus two virtual follow-up visits where in-person visits were not possible.
18 desktop reviews were completed to evaluate programme changes made by universities or progress against conditions of accreditation.
