Haydn has over twenty years of energy sector experience. He has held various management positions in oil and gas E&P, petrochemicals, power, LNG, pipeline and processing, shipping, and commodity trading. This involves projects and assets in Trinidad and Tobago, Brunei, Canada, Myanmar, and Malaysia. Haydn has consulted for UNDP and IDB on climate change strategy, and for the World Bank on LNG. He lectures part-time on sustainable energy policy, regulation, technology and economics, and established research into CCS, GHG sectoral modelling, and methanol to power.

Haydn holds a PhD degree from Imperial College London, and MPhil, BSc from The University of the West Indies. He is a Past President of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT), and Fellow of IChemE.
