Jane is a chemical engineer with 20 years’ experience in the UK water industry.
She has worked in water and wastewater design, commissioning and also process control and optimisation. Latterly in her career there has been an emphasis on strategic planning and working in a regulated environment.
She enjoys problem solving, and is accustomed to delivering under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. She has excellent communication skills enabling a high level of stakeholder engagement and collaboration, and is a strategic thinker, experienced in long term planning and detailed analysis of current data and processes to formulate and advise long term strategic decisions.
I believe I can be a positive contributor to the Learned Society Committee as I bring experience of delivering in four UK water industry price reviews. This has involved defining corporate service and performance outcomes. Strategic plans and roadmaps, with clear and attainable milestones, are defined and communicate to enable the delivery of the outcomes. All of this is achieved against tight timescales and with effective and timely stakeholder engagement. The Learned Society Committee can benefit from this experience in the delivery outcomes in the selected technical areas and of agile member-led projects.
