IChemE's Global Careers Day, held on 18 October 2022, attracted hundreds of students and recent graduates to hear advice and guidance from practicing chemical engineers from a wide variety of industries. The sessions were held across four different time zones to cater to a global audience.

Work in progress: career ready?

Preparing work-ready graduates is achieved by integrating the technical skills and knowledge learned at university with employability skills required by industry. Bridging the gap between the skills that graduates have and those that employers expect when they enter the workforce is important. This session hears from industry experts on how to prepare job applications, prepare for interviews, key tips for writing assessment criteria and how to stand out from the crowd when applying for industry roles.
