Koreans eye Sabah to site world's first bio-butanol plant

South Korean conglomerate GS Caltex, the country's second largest oil refiner, is looking to Sabah for the setting up of the world's first commercial plant to produce bio-butanol. The company, jointly owned by the GS Group of Korea and American oil giant Chevron, signed a Memorandum of Understanding here yesterday to conduct a study on the feasibility of producing bio-butanol from biomass in Sabah.
