Cogeneration with carbon capture: PSE meets power engineering - webinar recording now available

Professor Alexander Mitsos

Members of the Catalysis Special Interest Group can now view the slides and replay a recording of the webinar given by RWTH Aachen's Professor Alexander Mitsos on 18 May. The presentation covers the optimal design and operation of zero and partial emission cycles for power generation and water desalination. It is aimed at chemical and mechanical engineers with an interest in: carbon capture, reactor design, process design, power generation.

In the first part of the talk a semi-commercial pressurised oxy-coal combustion process is considered. In the second part, oxy-fuel combustion using ion transport membranes is discussed.
