Consultant is a universal term which is used to describe a professional who provides expert advice on a particular field of knowledge. Being a consultant varies across specialised fields but the core attributes remain. This webinar will provide an overview of the role of a consultant in the sphere of chemical engineering. It will outline the challenges that consultants usually face and provide tips on how to overcome them. This webinar will outline some of the fundamentals of consultancy for those interested or new to the arena, and some of the networking and other opportunities the special interest group can provide to the IChemE consultancy community.

Andrew CampbellAndrew Campbell is the Regional Managing consultant for Advanced Analysis within Advisian - the technical and advisory group within WorleyParsons. Andrew manages a number of multidisiplinary engineers and digital based consultants within the APAC region, and his speciality is multiphase and multiphysics Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling. Andrew is the chair of the Consultancy SIG for IChemE.


Ridwan Doba is the founder and director of Excellence Solutions Ltd, a consultancy firm based in Mauritius. The company is engaged in environmental assessments, project management and process improvement. He has over 10 years of experience in manufacturing and consultancy. Ridwan spent over half of his professional career in the field of medical devices manufacturing and occupied various positions of increasing responsibilities in areas of Quality engineering, Process engineering, Operations and Supply chain. He is currently supporting small and medium enterprises in complying with environmental regulations. He is also collaborating with multiple companies for improving their processes through the application of lean and six sigma.


A one-hour online session: 40 minutes' presentation + 20 minutes' Q&A.
Duration (for CPD recording purposes): up to one hour.
