Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)
Scotland’s environmental regulator. A better and clearer version of most things you need to know in the UK in terms of regulation etc. (Bear in mind there are subtle differences between Scotland and the rest of the UK in terms of its legal system). Much clearer and easier to find things than on the Environment Agency website. 

Society for the Environment
The independent body that regulates the award of the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) qualification.

The UK Government’s independent watchdog on sustainable development. 

US Environmental Protection Agency
The CAMEO and ALOHA computer programmes are programs useful tool for modelling chemical emergencies, ie. Toxic releases to atmosphere. Wide range of chemical and mixtures to choose from, also will calculate rates of release from tank leaks, rates of evaporation and also in combination of downwind modelling of ground level concentrations.
