The Process Management & Control Special Interest Group committee includes members from a number of leading UK universities who are engaged in teaching and research in control and automation.

To support the teaching of the subject, the group has prepared some recommendations on Skill Requirements in Process Automation for Graduate Chemical Engineers, developed through consultation with senior industrialists and academics.

The Process Management & Control Special Interest Group also supports undergraduate and postgraduate activities as follows:

  • Support for the teaching of process control at universities
  • Support for industry/academe liaison and collaboration in research, development and implementation of process automation techniques and strategies
