This event will provide delegates with an insight on the topic of sour gas fields and their processing. The informal seminar style will offer a dialogue based learning approach, utilising prompting slides to steer discussion.

The seminar will use the $10 billion Shah Gas Field development as a theme. The facilities will gather and process 1 BCF/day of gas containing 23% H2S and produce 0.5 BCF/day of treated gas, 4,400 t/d NGLs, 33,000 bbl/d of condensate and 9,200 t/d of sulphur. The plant is 75% complete and start-up is expected in 2014.

The programme will be split into five session covering the following topics:

  • Sour Gas Fields & Processing overview
  • Shah Field Development overview
  • Shah Field Acid Gas Removal
  • Shah Field HSE Challenges
  • Design of World Scale Sulphur Recovery, Storage & Transportation
