In a world with tight margins, stringent regulations, fierce competition and difficult market conditions, it is not surprising that the process industry is increasingly relying on improved energy efficiency to meet its operating, environmental and financial targets.

This presentation will provide an overview of the overall UNIHEAT project, the technologies being developed and the activities of the Industry Engagement Programme, aimed at bridging the gap between academic research and industry needs.

The presenter

Dr Francesco Coletti is the industry engagement manager for the UNIHEAT project and a co-founder of Hexxcell an Imperial College London spin­-off company dealing with heat transfer and energy efficiency. Coletti is a director and chief technology officer at Hexxcell and since October 2013 has been executive editor of Heat Exchanger Design Handbook, the standard reference source for information on heat transfer and heat exchanger design.
