Pluto is a signature project, demonstrating Amec Foster Wheeler’s LNG and modular execution capabilities. Nicky’s presentation provides an overview of the drivers for major LNG investments and highlights the importance of Pluto which is the first modularised LNG plant in the world operating successfully.

The major components of an LNG plant are described along with an overview of the complex task of planning and assembling these huge investment projects. The unique challenges of the Pilbara region in Western Australia where the plant is located are discussed, along with some of its special marine, animal and human inhabitants.

Presenters

 

Nicky Chodorowska has over thirty years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Nicky is a Principle Consultant Process Engineer within Amec Foster Wheeler’s consultancy team in Reading, specialising in LNG. Within her role Nicky undertakes lead roles on various gas processing and LNG projects from Pre-FEED to EPC. Nicky is a fellow of the IChemE.

Nicky will be joined by Mark Read who is Senior Process Engineer who has eight years’ experience with Amec Foster Wheeler. Mark spent more than two years as part of the site commissioning team on the Pluto LNG project. SONG members do not have to register for this event.
