Topic 1 - North American crude oil, natural gas and LNG Markets and Impacts on Asian energy markets

Within a very short period of time, the U.S. has become a major producer of oil and gas. Despite the recent sharp fall in oil and gas prices, oil and gas production in the U.S. not only did not decline as drastically as expected but in the early part of 2015 continued to grow as producers engaged in exploration and production outside of traditional production regions. Additionally, there continues to be significant investment in the oil and gas infrastructure in the U.S. especially for midstream pipeline development and LNG export facilities. Several LNG export projects are currently under construction and even more are pending U.S. regulatory approval.

Nevertheless, new U.S. regulatory changes have been introduced which are likely to have a material impact on oil and gas markets in the US, including tighter restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions and surcharges on interstate natural gas pipelines. These restrictions could impact production costs in the US which could affect Asian oil and gas consumers and producers.

The presentation will also look at the impact of the upcoming lifting of Iranian sanctions on Asian energy markets.

Topic 2 - An update of the Asia-Pacific LNG market

Enerdata will provide insight on the Asia Pacific LNG market developments. Our analyst will take the attendees through the key changes in the LNG market supply, demand and prices. We will also give our opinion on the effect of developments in the various domestic gas markets on the LNG market.

The session is useful for professionals in the Gas/LNG and Power market like trading analysts, business analysts, traders, business and project developers, buyers and sellers of gas and electricity, corporate strategists & planners, international organizations, public institutions and ministry, energy agencies and regulators, bankers and lawyers.
