The LNG market has undergone significant transition in the last decade from a linear point to point trade to a more dynamic and flexible market with new markets and traders making a significant impact. But what do trader do and why have they entered the LNG market? What does this mean for the more traditional players and the long term investments which the industry rely upon?
This presentation provides an overview of the changes and drivers which have shaped the current market, the potential changes to come and the impact that these changes will have in the future particularly.

Ian Belmore, RWE
Ian has over 25 years’ experience in LNG. Initially from an operations perspective from his early career as a shift Engineer on LNG storage plants, to managing the transition of the Isle of Grain LNG Plant from a storage to the UK’s first modern LNG importation terminal. Later years he has worked in project development and for the last 5 years has moved into Trading and is now head of LNG trading at RWE. Ian is a Chemical Engineering graduate of Birmingham University and holds an MBA from Imperial Management School.

Any member who wishes to be elected to the committee should be nominated and seconded from within the SIG's membership, and should be confirmed to Dr Agnes Molendowska by 08:00 (BST) 9 June 2016.
Please note that volunteers for any committee positions must be a current member of IChemE and the Oil & Natural Gas Special Interest Group. The position of chair and treasurer must be Chartered Members of IChemE.
