This presentation will cover engineering applications in the temperature range from 233K down to almost absolute zero. This will include facilities for NGL recovery, ethylene production, LNG production, ammonia syngas purification, air separation, and hydrogen/helium liquefaction and refrigeration.

The unusual properties of hydrogen and helium and their impact on the design of liquefaction facilities will be discussed. The presentation will also describe some unique safety issues associated with cryogenic systems.

Presenter Biography:
Cyril Collins has over 50 years' experience in LNG, gas processing and low temperature engineering. He has been involved in many studies and projects including LNG, hydrocarbon recovery, hydrogen liquefaction, and liquid helium refrigeration. 

Cyril is a Chemical Engineering graduate of Imperial College and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He is also Secretary of Commission A2 of the International Institute of Refrigeration and an Honorary Member of GPA Europe.
