This presentation will evaluate the recent trends in design, construction, installation and operation of subsea systems. The presentation will look back over the last five years and highlight the key milestones / technological advancements in the subsea industry and where the industry is going.
 
A review of the technological developments within the subsea systems arena will be presented. Three main areas will be considered: Managing risks through the project lifecycle, Project enabling technologies and Asset Management and Intergity Enhancements.

Presenter: Terry Wood, INTECSEA

Terry has a BEng in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Surrey and is a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.  He has 20 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry working mainly as a consultant within the flow assurance and subsea systems disciplines. He has designed subsea oil and gas developments for the West of Shetland, North Sea, West Africa, Eastern Mediterranean, Caspian Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Arabian Gulf for a wide variety of water depths.  He is currently the Discipline Authority for Flow Assurance and Subsea Process Systems in INTECSEA, Woking and chairs the Global Flow Assurance and Chemical Management Committees in INTECSEA / WorleyParsons.
