It aims to advance drilling and completion technology; improve industry health, safety, environmental and training practices; and champion sensible regulations and legislation which facilitate safe and efficient drilling.

International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP)
Organisation working on behalf of the world's oil and gas producing companies to promote responsible and profitable operations.

International Gas Union (IGU)
Established in 1931, seeks to advocate for gas as an integral part of a sustainable global energy system and promote the political, technical, and economic progress of the gas industry.

Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)
Founded in 1930, aims to promote the science of geophysics and the education of applied geophysicists. SEG adopts the professional and ethical practice of geophysics in the exploration and development of natural resources, in characterising the near surface, and in mitigating earth hazards.

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
The largest individual-member organisation, founded in 1957, aspires to provide the latest technical knowledge related to the gas industry and upstream oil worldwide.

Malaysian non-profit organisations

Geological Society of Malaysia (GSM)
Founded in 1967. Seeks to promote the advancement of earth sciences particularly in Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region. 600+ members worldwide across various disciplines.

Malaysian Gas Association (MGA)
Established in 1986, aspires to harness the potential of the gas industry by increasing the utilisation of gas through research and development initiatives. MGA works together with key industry players towards a common goal for Malaysia to transform into a fully developed country by 2020.

Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC)
Established in 2003, aims to start an association driven initiative promoted by the services sector of the Malaysian oil and gas industry, in order to promote Malaysia as a regional hub for oil and gas services.

UK and Europe non-profit organisations

European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE)
Established in 1951 as a multi-disciplinary professional association, EAGE seeks to promote the development and application of geosciences and related engineering subjects, endorse innovation and technical progress, and foster the communication, fellowship, and co-operation between students and professionals.

Oil & Gas UK
The leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry.
