Professor Jim SkeaProfessor Jim Skea holds the Chair in Sustainable Energy at Imperial College, UK and is the Research Councils' UK Energy Strategy Fellow. He is a founding member of the UK Committee on Climate Change and is Vice Chair of IPCC Working Group III (Mitigation).

Skea’s lecture will address the international issues of how additional fossil fuel reserves arising from shale oil and gas impact on the need to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and will appeal to chemical engineers involved in the oil and gas and power generation sectors as well as those concerned with sustainability and the environment.
