Benchmarking

Benchmarking of a university programme can be undertaken from the second year of an active programme (we advise starting no earlier than the second semester of the second year). Please contact us a year in advance of the visit to allow time for scheduling.

Benchmarking generally entails one IChemE university accreditation assessor for a one or two day visit; occasionally two assessors may be involved.

The costs to the university include a non-refundable one-off fee of £2000*.

Note that some travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for assessors may also be required depending on the location.

First accreditation

  2. Annual fee of £2000* for each year of accreditation.

Note that some travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for assessors may also be required depending on the location.

Reaccreditation

Annual fee each year of accreditation is currently £2000*.

*Please note that benchmarking, accreditation and reaccreditation fees will rise to £2500 from 2019.
