About IPOSC 2022
International Palm Oil Sustainability Conference (IPOSC) 2022 is a conference organised by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). POPSIG and MPOC organise IPOSC 2022 Infographic Competition with the theme of "How Does Malaysian Palm Oil Support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".
Organisers
This competition is organised by IChemE's Palm Oil Processing Special Interest Group (POPSIG), and co-organised by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), in conjunction with Malaysian Palm Oil Full of Goodness.
Objectives of competition
- To promote the role of the Malaysian palm oil industry to the nation amongst university students
- To stimulate creative thinking and express innovative ideas in promoting Malaysian palm oil
- To recognise the contributions made by the Malaysian palm oil industry in achieving the UN SDGs
- To explore novel ideas about the potential of the Malaysian palm oil in achieving the UN SDGs
- To provide a platform for students to showcase their design thinking, knowledge and skills
Eligibilities
The participants must meet all requirements outlined as follow:
- This competition is open to all students in all departments at all universities located in Malaysia
- Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to participate
- All POPSIG committee and close relatives of MPOC staffs are not eligible to participate due to the conflict of interest
- All the team members must be the registered students at the time of completing online submission
Cost
Registration and application are free of charge.

Register online and submit your infographic files. Only one (1) online form is required to participate in this competition.
The closing date for online submission is 17:00 MYT (GMT+8) on 26 August 2022.

Result announcement
- The Top 10 winning teams comprise 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and 7 consolation prizes.
- The announcements will also be made by emails and via POPSIG social media.
- Awarded infographics will be displayed by the organisers to all IPOSC audience during the conference.
- Prize award ceremony will be held during IPOSC conference in InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 13 September 2022.
