Presenters

Kerry O' Neill, Chair of the Aberdeen Members Group committee

David Jamieson, Technical Safety Engineer, Salus Technical

With a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, David Jamieson began his career in the fast-paced world of Formula 1, working as a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) engineer for the Red Bull Racing team. Following two high-octane seasons, David returned to the North-east and transferred these skills to offshore safety in the energy industry.

David went on to found Salus Technical in 2015. The process safety software and consultancy firm works with customers across a host of major hazard industries to help them understand and manage the risks of major accidents, in a bid to prevent these and drive a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Salus Technical offers three complementary services: process safety engineering support, a range of tailored and on-demand training courses and Bowtie Master – their online software package which allows customers to visualise their risks and communicate with their team. Their second software product, which focuses on human factors, is set to launch next year.
