Overview

As quoted by the IEA, energy efficiency will be the biggest lever we have to curb CO2 emissions across all industries. Energy efficiency makes the most significant contribution among the array of plans, regulations, frameworks, and goals, to limit global temperature change to no more than 1.5oC above pre-industrial levels.

Maintaining competitiveness has never been more critical. Businesses are facing increasingly tough economic conditions and mounting pressure to reduce their environmental impact, demonstrating real carbon reductions. Energy prices have soared, and are volatile; the need to lower operating costs, ensure business continuity and optimise process performance has become increasingly important, particularly as companies seek to become more independent from the grid whilst operating more sustainably.

During the session we will:

  • outline the need and importance of energy efficiency ie business financial incentives, sustainability and regulations
  • address best practices around energy efficiency, such as frameworks, approaches and technology
  • share insights from case studies that have provided energy efficiency improvements
  • help you to get started on your energy efficiency and sustainability plans.
