Overview

As offshore facilities come towards the end of their design life an asset life assessment is vital to identify the investment required to maintain asset integrity, uptime and sustain present operating performance. This is particularly relevant as many offshore facilities are being repurposed to support energy transition and net zero.

This TechTalk will outline the methodology, customer benefits and challenges encountered in extending asset life and re-purposing offshore facilities, to support energy transition. Case studies will be utilised to describe how ABB have conducted, for the first time, a technology enabled asset life study utilising ABB Remote Insight™ technology, to breathe new life into facilities, improving reliability and protecting safety.

The webinar will provide insights how ABB Ability™ Asset Life Assessment, is supporting offshore operators in:

  • identifying, reviewing and mitigating the key issues affecting asset life
  • determining a view of equipment life based upon deterioration mechanisms and obsolescence
  • identifying the future investment required (CAPEX)
  • providing the recommended actions to maintain integrity and reliability.

Enabling existing assets to be repurposed and managing the asset risks through extended operations.
