The Aberdeen Members Group Annual Awards Dinner is raising money for two charities.

CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. They offer a relaxed, welcoming and caring environment both at Clan House, their purpose-built support and wellbeing centre in Aberdeen, and at their many bases in the community.

Aberdeen - City & Shire is a well-established local branch of Down's Syndrome Scotland providing support for children and adults with Down's Syndrome and their families. The support ranges from family social events, helping to forge friendships that last a lifetime to workshops assisting with speech and language and behavior issues, invaluable to everyone. The branch provide activities for all ages to enjoy on a regular basis - tennis lessons are currently being held, with the aim of team attending the Special Olympics in the future! Other activities enjoyed throughout the year include clubbercise (an exercise workout) ten pin bowling and pool nights for older members.  All monies generously donated to the branch are used locally to provide these much needed activities and support to our families.
