The new AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) for Wales recently opened on a site adjacent to the Airbus factory in Broughton, Chester.
As part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, the AMRC Cymru will connect industry with the wider Catapult network of innovation assets.
Initially, the centre will focus on four key areas of support:
- automation
- design for X
- digitalisation
- product and process verification
Other areas of expertise include: machining, integrated manufacturing, composites, castings, design and prototyping, structural testing, medical, additive manufacturing, virtual reality, robotics and automation, 3D printing.
AMRC Cymru supports businesses to engage and adopt Industry 4.0 technologies demystifying and de-risking the process through research, collaboration and knowledge.

18:00 for 18:30 start.
Location
The AMRC is only a short distance from Broughton shopping mall on the A5104, on the same side of Chester Road as the aircraft factory. Free parking is available on site.
