External Corrosion remains a significant Mechanical Integrity issue throughout many process industries. This presentation aims to cover various external corrosion mechanisms and will specifically focus on Corrosion Under Insulation. It will further discuss the consequences, causes and design for prevention of external corrosion.

The event will comprise of a presentation, time for questions and a complimentary buffet/drinks provided by Phillips 66.

Presenter

John A Smith -  A chemical engineering graduate from Imperial College, London.

John A Smith has a combined engineering experience within process engineering and corrosion engineering of 26 years, where he has worked at a number of downstream Oil and Gas companies. His current role as a corrosion engineer at Phillips 66, Humber Refinery, has provided him with significant experience on the topic of external corrosion.
