In the last few months, the SARS-CoV-2 virus has managed to spread to many countries and cause numerous deaths. This deadly virus has managed to infect a large majority of people in the World and has also impacted badly on the economy. We will review a few aspects concerning Chemical Engineering expertise that can help mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. (See pdf attached) This event has been supported by IChemE’s COVID-19 Response Team and the ISPE UK COVID-19 Response Project as well as the Pharma, Particle Technology, and Biochemical Engineering Special Interest Groups.
