Webinar: Carrying on Engineering in the Pandemic

Webinar: Carrying on Engineering in the Pandemic
  • Date From 22nd September 2021
  • Date To 22nd September 2021
  • Price Free of charge, open to all
  • Location Online 18:00 BST, 1.5 hours

Overview

Real examples of how engineers adapted to working during the pandemic, facing restrictions on travel: three sessions (presentations + questions) covering how engineers used digital remote viewing and data connectivity technologies to continue delivering continuous improvement, capital projects and start-ups as well as safety reviews then a presentation from the Oil and Gas industry explaining more established practices, again accelerated by the pandemic. After each talk there will be opportunities to discuss potential pitfalls and consider future ways of working post-pandemic - what does, and does not work, in practice.

Intended Audience

This event is aimed at all engineers who have faced the challenge of working with new constraints around ways of working during the pandemic and who would like to learn from the experiences of others, contribute their own learnings and who are starting to think about their longer term future ways of working.

Software

The presentation will be delivered by Microsoft Teams.

We recommend downloading the app beforehand (Microsoft website), rather than using the web portal. Registrants will be sent a meeting link two days before the event (or just before the event for late bookers).
