Overview

Projects consist of a series of dependent activities which are expected to take place, in a predetermined order to deliver the required outcome(s). Large, complex projects involving a number of resources, will also be prone to variation in their performance. The combination of dependent events and statistical fluctuations, make project management a difficult assignment, and generally lead to project overruns and loss of reputation with key customers.

The Theory of Constraints body of knowledge, which was first introduced by Dr Eliyahu M Goldratt in his bestselling business novel The Goal, dives into these phenomena, and how these detrimental effects on project performance are compounded further by normal human behaviours which are adopted in such projects.

This webinar will introduce some of these behavioural traits, which impact project performance, and provide suggestions on how to not only manage these behaviours, but fundamentally change how you project manage, to deliver projects earlier than the planned dates.
