Speakers

Maryam Amussah

Maryam is an award winning Chartered Chemical Engineer working in the Energy industry, currently as a Production Specialist. She has about 10 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector across various technical, operational and commercial roles.

Alongside her day job, she provides STEM mentorship for students from disadvantaged background and has led employee networks at her workplace to foster the diversity and inclusion strategy. She is also a board member for the Association for Black Engineers – UK, England chapter.

Maryam’s passion around promoting D&I within and outside her workplace especially in STEM fields got her shortlisted for the WearetheCity 2020 Rising Star Award. She has also won awards in her workplace for improving D&I.

Lee Constable

Lee is a highly experienced professional, with over 24 years experience within the manufacturing and process related industries. He has 21 years’ management experience in chemicals, plastics and process-related manufacturing industries, along with 16 years’ experience at senior director and company board level for global organisations. He has held autonomy, accountability and responsibility for large sites for a number of US listed global organisations and implemented a through a wide range of excellence programs including operational, engineering, maintenance, quality and all-round business excellence.

He has successful lead companies through culture change including implementing PPM, TPM, autonomous maintenance programs along with implementation of a number of fully integrated CMMS programs and embedding the systems, practices, process to support cultural change. He has driven through global best practice, business “True North” and held a number of key positions as UK and European chairs for business improvement.
