Alfa Laval Ltd is a leading global supplier of products and solutions for heat transfers, separation and fluid handling through their key products - heat exchangers, separators, pumps and valves.

They currently play a vital role in areas that are crucial for society, such as energy optimisation, environmental protection and food production.

Plate heat exchangers have long been recognised as a compact and cost-effective alternative to the shell-and-tube heat exchanger in many process applications. More recently, novel designs and configurations have also been developed for condensers, evaporators and re-boilers. Developments include different innovative plate patterns to mitigate the fouling and different welding procedures to increase reliability.
