Overview

How often have you had to navigate commercial agreements in completing a project?

Often it seems that the impact of these agreements can be underestimated - or even ignored - in project timelines. Commercial arrangements can significantly affect the lead time of projects and cause other complications for successful project delivery if not managed correctly.

Join us with a diverse technical panel sharing their experiences with commercial agreements and contracts in the context of engineering.

The event will include an opportunity for audience questions.

Speakers

Ian Kuchel, Director, GPA Engineering

Ian is a Chemical Engineer with twenty five years of experience comprising Production Management, Process Engineering, Project Management, Commissioning, and Risk Management experience in the oil and gas, mining, pharmaceutical, environmental, pulp and paper, steel making, water and chemical industries.

Ian is currently a Director at GPA Engineering, having joined the company in 2007. During his time in the consultancy world, he has lead a number of EPCM, Construction and Commissioning, Owner’s Engineer and Operational Support projects across a broad range of industries, and of various project scales. His prior background includes over ten years in Production and Operations roles, with involvement on a large number of projects from the “client-side” perspective.

With that range of knowledge and experience, Ian will be discussing the current trends, pitfalls and benefits of contract and commercial arrangements in delivery projects from initiation to completion and beyond.
