Overview

With industry representing nearly a quarter of all greenhouse gas emission, helping industrial sectors improve their energy efficiency and reduce their carbon intensity is a crucial part of the transition to a net-zero world.

The first talk aims to shed some light on the principal drivers behind the worlds focus on climate change and outlines the opportunities, direction and pace industry is adopting to reduce their carbon footprint and the challenges and strategic shift necessary to address the issues of climate change.

The second talk titled Hydrogen – Hype or Hope? will focus on the use of hydrogen as a means of supporting the climate change agenda. It will discuss its feasibility in driving clean economic growth along with its long-term impact on business energy cost, industrial productivity and competitiveness highlighting the potential benefits and pitfalls of hydrogen and providing some insights into the sectors where hydrogen is likely to make a significant contribution.
