Trinidad and Tobago
Wayne Mohan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Petroleum Engineering from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada. He also received a Master’s degree in Advanced Safety Engineering Management from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, USA, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Wales, Wales. Wayne is a Chartered Member of the IChemE and is recognized as a Professional Process Safety Engineer with IChemE. He is also a Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago. Wayne started his oil refinery career at the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago in 1990 and spent approximately fifteen (15) years in various positions in Operations. He later worked for fourteen (14) years in the following positions: Refinery Business Analyst, Performance Improvement Specialist and subsequently Head, Process Safety. He also performed Process Safety consultancy for Saudi Aramco and Total in Saudi Arabia.
Wayne lectured at the University of Trinidad and Tobago where he taught Refinery Operation courses. He was also a Commissioner (Director) for the Water Company of Trinidad, where he was responsible for the implementation of various operations, safety and process safety initiatives in the Operations Division. In 2019, he joined Heritage Petroleum Company Limited as Manager, Process Safety where he was responsible for implementing process safety throughout the various business units
