Glenn graduated from Reading University in 1984 with an honours degree in biological sciences, specialising in microbiology. After University, Glenn joined a laboratory supplier, Boro Labs, as the Sales Office Manager. After four years, he wanted to specialise in complex capital equipment, so joined a French fermentation company, SGi, beginning of 1989. Since then, his career has developed within the fermentation arena and Glenn currently is working with Applikon Biotechnology UK, part of Getinge, as Manager Sales and Service.

Glenn has a solid understanding of whole processes (USP and DSP) although his main expertise is within fermentation. He has been an active committee member of the Biochemical Engineering Subject Group (BESIG) of the IChemE since 2008, having been chair, vice chair and treasurer during this time. Glenn is also treasurer of ESACT UK, having sat on this committee since 2015.
