Overview

A webinar presentation on the challenges and requirements associated with novel therapy and modern vaccine facility design, followed by a Q&A session.

Advances in modern medicines bring with them different challenges in facility design such as enhanced biosafety level considerations, high volumes of patient batches manufactured in parallel, and solvent handling within ballroom suites. This webinar will focus on the challenges in facility design associated with viral vector manufacturing, autologous cell therapy manufacturing, and mRNA vaccine manufacturing.

This webinar is aimed at people working in the biotech industry, both in consultancy and manufacturing, as well as people interested in moving into this area.

Speaker

Stephen Judd, Process SME, Biotech, DPS Group

Stephen is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland with over 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He has worked for DPS Group for the last ten years where he has held a number of positions including Process Department Manager for the Dublin operation.

Stephen's current role is Process SME for the European operations, where his main focus is on novel therapies. In this role, he has undertaken a variety of projects in the cell and gene therapy and mRNA vaccine space where he has had responsibility for design of the process systems and the manufacturing areas associated with the facility.
